Built-in gutters, relined in soldered copper
Relined 212 linear feet of Yankee gutters and replaced rotted cornice sections on a Queen Anne house.

The challenge
Decades of tar patches inside the wooden gutters had trapped water, rotting the cornice and staining the plaster in two bedrooms.
What we did
Removed tar and failed liners and replaced 38 feet of rotted gutter trough with matching profile lumber.
Fabricated copper liners with expansion joints every 32 feet.
Installed new copper conductor heads replicated from a surviving original.
Water tested every run and outlet before painting the new cornice wood.
The result
No interior staining after the first full season, and the cornice kept its original profile from the street.
The conductor heads look like they have always been there. Our painter could not tell which pieces were new.
